CHABLIS WINEMAKER DINNER WITH DOMAINE LAROCHE
Thursday 27th March, 7pm
Chablis is one of the most famous names in wine. This Burgundian AOC has winemaking origins going back over 900 years. It is exclusively a white only winemaking region with all plantings dedicated to the Chardonnay grape. With its relatively cool climate and classical chalky soil it produces the most unbridled and refreshing, mineral style of Chardonnay on the planet, where the use of oak is very much in the background.
Domaine Laroche are a long established, specialist Chablis Domaine. They own 90 hectares of vineyards with 21 of these in Premier Cru sites and 6 in Grand Cru. Tonight we will be taken through a tutored tasting of their range, which will include wines from Village to Premier Cru, to Grand Cru levels.

Pan-fried fillet of cod with lemon crushed new potatoes, samphire, mussels and white wine cream sauce
