Champagne, Prosecco, Pimms, Bellini, Bloody Mary……

…whatever your preference, it won’t be a problem. The Riverside Gardens are a beautiful private area for drinks and nibbles. There’s also a handy private bar for any gentleman who can’t resist an early beer! Just ask for a show-round to see all the possibilities.

The Wedding Breakfast

Food is perhaps the Old Bridge’s key selling point.  We only offer “restaurant” quality – we do not do “banqueting” like larger hotels: your meal will be cooked to order as for anyone else visiting the hotel for lunch or dinner.

Larger wedding breakfasts are served in our newly refurbished main restaurant – a room filled with light and colour.  It will of course be privately yours for the lunchtime or afternoon of your wedding day. For parties of up to 60 our beautiful and traditional Dining Room is the best venue.

We can discuss with you seasonally appropriate menus specifically designed for your party, or do come and discuss any menu ideas you may have. To receive our wedding pack with menus and prices please just email us.

The Ceremony

We are licensed to host civil ceremonies in the hotel in four different rooms, each with a distinctive feel. So do come and see which room suits you. We ask you to pay the registrar direct (we take no commission).

Alternatively you can come to us from a local church or other venue. Particularly popular is Hartford Church, just 2 miles along the river from the hotel.

The Evening Party

Our Riverside Rooms and Garden are a great venue for an evening party. A private bar; a separate room for a live band or disco; a secluded garden with a special barbecue hut where one of our Chefs will prepare snacks for your guests at whatever time suits your needs.

Staying

Our beautifully appointed, individually decorated bedrooms are of course available for your guests.  We can allocate specific rooms in advance but please confirm these as early as possible before they are booked by other guests. Click here to see pictures of every bedroom.
